GoChongo.com, a website for a community of performers, has offically gone live. Dave Eagan, the founder of goChongo, came to show a sneak peak of his website to ISAK members back in November, and we were able to give him valueable feedback. It is rewarding to know our organization helped an entrepreneur improve his ideas and get his site live! I wanted to share this email regarding our efforts:
"All right, goChongo is officially live to the public! A huge thank you to everyone for helping us during private beta. You provided a lot of relevant feedback, and we were able to incorporate most of it into the site already. There are other great suggestions that we plan to roll out in the near future. Please keep them coming!! It's how we get better. We look forward to seeing your creative talents on display in the upcoming months. Please don't be afraid to let others know about us as well. Thanks again for everything!"

Our next meeting is this Wednesday at 5:30pm in Room 426 Summerfield. We will be having a guest speaker which means business casual dress. Our guest speaker is Neal Scharma, KU MBA alum, and a cofounder of Digital Evolution Group a web solutions firm in Corporate Woods (The same company that put together the new Business School website). Please plan on attending and have questions to ask of our guest speaker. In addition to our guest speaker we are going to cover a few cursory announcements pertaining to the end of the semester.
The social committee would like to invite everybody to bowl at Jaybowl following the meeting. It should be fun and will be one of the last opportunities to be social with the other ISAK members this year.

Ramy Rahman, Chair of the Community Involvement Committee, has organized a great opportunity to get involved with the Lawrence community. The Lawrence Community Shelter is in need of volunteers with computer and networking knowledge. Volunteers of all knowledge levels are encouraged to attend. This is the perfect chance to learn how to assemble a computer or put together a small home network. We are planning to get together for 2-4 hours on Saturday, April 14 @ 4:00pm. If you are interested and need more information or directions, please email Ramy Rahman. Thanks to Ramy and the Community Involvement Committee for putting this event together.

Our next meeting is this Wednesday at 5:30pm in room 426 Summerfield. We will be having a guest speaker which means business casual dress. Our guest speaker is Rex Johnson from Deloitte. Please plan on attending and have questions to ask our guest speaker.
In addition to our guest speaker we will go over a few announcements, including the members who will be taking over the Executive Board next year.
Additionally, after the positive feedback we received during our last meeting we are going to begin collecting a membership due of $10. This will help to pay for things like t-shirts, food, organization events and trips, as well as provide a foundation of capital for us to work with. We will be collecting the dues at the end of the meeting.

ISAK would like to formally welcome everyone back from winter break with a brand new website. We will no longer be using Blackboard, so please bookmark this page and check regularly for updates. We will continue sending emails out with news updates as a second reminder. Thanks to the Website Committee for getting this project out the door.

I received an email from Dave Eagan who came to speak with us last November and showcase his website, GoChongo.com. He wanted to provide us with an update and a little bit of feedback. He relayed the message that several of the suggestions that we provided have made it into their first launch. The website will launch on the first of April and a private beta is slated for March 1. The fact that we were able to impact the development of his organization’s website is very exciting.
Dave and his team also wanted to further reach out to us. They are looking for any aspiring actors, actresses, musicians, comics, and other creative types that might want to contribute content for their launch.
